Scientist Turned Full-Time Filmmaker

Harsh Mahadeshwar is a Scientist turned Full-time Filmmaker who traveled from Mumbai, India, to Lubbock, Texas, for his graduate studies at Texas Tech University. There, he identified genomic signatures that vary between species of mammals. The objective: to better understand the gene material’s evolutionary descent. After, he was able to expand upon his graduate training from basic science to applied research at biotechnology industries & institutes like Harvard Medical / Dana-Farber Cancer, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Baylor College of Medicine.

Dil Ki Baat is Born

Five years back, Harsh founded an Entertainment platform called “Dil Ki Baat”, an Asian platform that focuses on story-based films. Dil Ki Baat has gained an audience of 5 million followers spanning over multiple Facebook platforms. So, what do we do? We create short films based on real-life stories, emotions and events. Our short films have reached over 60 million views, which proves that we surely understand the content people like.

Harsh, the Filmmaker

Harsh has written and directed over 40 social media short films and music videos. Some of them have crossed over 50 million views. He is currently working on writing his first feature film, and is the producer for an A-listed Bollywood film aimed to release in late 2020.

Many of the short films Harsh has created have won notable awards such as: Best film India Film Project 2018, Best Film 48 Hour Film Project 2017 Houston, Best Film 48 Hour Film Project 2019 Indianapolis.

From Zero to Hero

Ever since Dil Ki Baat started, it has never been a smooth road. We understand the frustration businesses face when their content is just not reaching people. There was a time when we were in that same position. But over time, we have learned what works and what doesn’t. We have grown our platforms from zero to hero, and now we have over 5 million followers.

A Guiding Light
